Shifts & Shift Differentials

- Employees shall be paid a shift differential if their straight time hours end after 7:00 p.m. or begin prior to 6:00 am. The shift differential is ten percent of salary including specialty differential.
- Employees shall work on the shift for which they were hired.
- Shift changes may be made by the Employer for good reason and Employees with the least classification seniority are subject to shift change.
- Employees may change shifts if a vacancy exists in their classification. Classification seniority applies if more than one Union member wants the shift change.
- Licensed Practical Nurses shall receive “in-charge” differential equal to RN in-charge differential at the same institution when they are assigned “in-charge” responsibilities
