- The regular work week for full-time Employees varies among job classifications and institutions. It is usually thirty-seven and one half hours per week, five days per week. Employees receive two days off each full calendar week except in the event of overtime.
- The regular full-time work day consists of the number of hours in the regular work week divided by five.
- Part-time Employees who work the average full-time work week for four consecutive months shall become full-time Employees unless they are filling in for Employees on leave of absence, vacations and emergencies or are working on a special project.
- Extra hours shall be offered to part-time Employees based on classification seniority whenever possible.
- When required to be on-call off the Employer’s premises, Employees shall be paid at three-fourths of their regular pay. If called to work while on call, Employees shall receive time and one-half for all such hours worked with a guaranteed minimum of pay for four hours work.
- Employees are entitled to two rest periods of fifteen minutes each in each work day and an additional fifteen minute rest period for each half shift of overtime worked.
