Issues + Action

George W. Bush left this country with two wars underway, increased tensions in the Middle East, a financial disaster, growing unemployment and housing foreclosures, a broken healthcare system, and severe threats to our environment, among other problems.

With President Barack Obama now in office, what do you think his first one or two priorities should be?

The first priority must be the economy; the second education, and the third healthcare and energy.

The war in Iraq. The economy. The homeless.

I think President Barack Obama’s first two priorities should be the war because we need to bring our troops home. They are over their losing their lives for nothing. I have family members that are in the war and I worry and pray everyday for all the members of the armed services. The second issue is the economy.
People are losing their jobs and their homes. It’s just hard for everyone. It took Bush eight years to mess up this country. It’s going to take Obama eight years to fix , but I know this country is ready for change and we have the right person in office to do it, President Obama!

On his third day in office, gas prices in New Jersey rose another seven cents since the increase of five cents on Inauguration Day. It just goes to prove that no matter which party is in, Republican, Democratic or Communist, politicians are all full of it. With the same crooks in Congress, how do we stand a chance? Presidents do not act alone. They are advised by those with their own interest at heart.

I believe the must important thing--ahead of everything--is to restore our broken down healthcare system, to be followed by adding more healthcare hospital workers. It saves lives!

First fix the economic crisis. Then work on health care. And then deal with the situation in the Middle East. We should handle our business first.

His first priority should be the two very serious wars we are in (Iraq and Afghanistan). American soldiers are dying in these countries. The #2 priority is our economy and the massive unemployment..

Pass the stimulus package. Healthcare coverage for all. Investigation of past administration on torture, wiretapping without warrants. Union organizing recognition through card check.
