The people we need to hold accountable are our representatives in Washington who are in charge of oversight. They clearly did not do their job and some of them are too close to the people they are supposed to regulate. They are the ones who are paid to look out for us. The bankers are capitalists looking to maximize profits. It appears that regulations did not keep pace with the industry and for that you can blame Washington. Nationalizing the banks will not correct this problem
