iSpeak: Political Issues

Most people are saying that their main concerns in this year's national
elections are the economic recession, the Iraq war and healthcare. What are
your main issues in choosing who to vote for, and why?

I’ll make this brief and simple. The return of habeas corpus and moving the Supreme Court back in the direction of personal choice and freedoms in general, to include a woman’s right to choose. These two alone will have far
reaching effects in the growth of our democracy as it pertains to our individual freedoms. Lastly, a full and complete reversal of any agreements, decisions and or otherwise on the North American Union until the American
public has seen and understands the full and complete details of this "arrangement" by and between our government, Mexico and Canada.

Yes, I’m for universal health care because before turning 65, I didn't have any. Thank goodness for public health. I feel Hillary is the best candidate to achieve this goal and I was disappointed you didn't come out for her. Hopefully its that she's female. That would be sexist but then few
acknowledge they are. I vote for Hil.

This is a loaded question.  I am very concerned with the welfare of all people, including their having decent income and healthcare, and I’m very much against the war.  The capitalist system does not thrive without having the underprivileged.  That is why we have to vote for Barack Obama.  He is not for the health care that I would like to see, like single payer but he could change with time.

I want to know why we are not out marching for Hillary, using the phones for support on Super Tuesday, and not receiving mailed information encouraging support. Our political action fees should be financing these operations. Are we quietly supporting Obama by not supporting Hillary?  The Clintons have been supporting 1199 long before Obama was a thought in the horizon.

The economy, the Iraq war, the immigration problem, and plain hate crimes.
